  1. If you are familiar with the National Brotherhood of Cyclists (NBC); they will be out and early getting their ride on!

The Annual Seagull Warm Up Ride will take place on Friday, October 4th from the Rodeway Inn, 2910 Baltimore Avenue Ocean City MD, at 9:00 am. This year’s ride will be a tribute to Jack Gardner who has lead the ride for over 10 years. Jack is still recovering and cannot ride this year. If you have not participated in the ride before, it’s a social event which consist of a 30 mile round trip ride to Bethany Beach. At the halfway point we stopped for photos and fellowship before taking the same route back to the hotel. The route has no turns other than into the hotel parking lot.

  2. Hampton Inn Salisbury is the recommended hotel for the Spokesmen Road Team. This location has started calling those on the waiting list, said Randy Bivens and is looking to fill cancellations.

The Hampton is minutes away from the Spokesmen Saturday dinner at Famous Dave’s Restaurant and Sunday morning breakfast at the Golden Corral.

  3. The annual pilgrimage to the Salisbury, MD is near. Over the years some of us have ridden the Sea Gull Century in Rain, extreme high winds and cold weather. As of 7:30 this morning the forecast for the Century is showing a high of 83 on Saturday. As usual it may start out a little chilly but get warmer as get warmed up. Dress accordingly by making sure that you lay your arm and leg warmers out the night before leaving or put it on you list to pickup between today and Friday for they are easy than a jacket to pack away. Put your “Wheels Down” Saturday morning and have fun!
